We’re starting a small project this week with a financial company in New York City. They had an internal developer who left a project unfinished, so we’re going to take the project and get it into production.

The web code is in ASP.NET but the developer used MySQL for the database instead of Microsoft SQL Server. Not sure why that was (he was probably just more familiar with it) but since everything else at the company is already Microsoft based (including other databases) we’re going to take the opportunity to migrate the MySQL database to SQL Server, mostly as-is. I’d rather keep them on a consistent platform than have their internal developer deal with both MySQL and SQL Server every day.

We’re very excited about working with this new client. They have a great attitude and very realistic expectations
